Lovely place to stay...they give everyone a 5 star treatment
Bedroom nice and roomy but not had dinner yet. Room and bathroom have everything.
Very helpful staff. Only 10/15 minutes from centre. 6 per day to park at hotel. Food excellent. Adjoining burger bar food also excellent. Ideal location to park up and visit Harrogate for a few days.
This hotel looked amazing online and we were looking forward to staying. Unfortunately, on check-in, the receptionist was singularly inaccurate about the distance to local tourist destinations, and - perhaps even more shockingly - completely clueless about the opening times of the independent restaurant downstairs in the same building. She recommended we walk into town, and furnished us with a map. Thankfully, we made decided to go to the independent restaurant downstairs (which incidently was amazing). Following our meal, we went to the bar in the hotel, where although there were two members of staff rostered on, they were obviously working in the restaurant as well as I had to wait for over 5 minutes to be served. On check-in, we were offered a complimentary one hour delay on checkout (12 noon instead of 11am) after which it was 30 per hour. Unfortunately, we got a call at 11:30 asking us to vacate our room as the staff member coming on shift didn't check the system and assumed we were just taking our time. He did apologise and acknowledge his mistake, but I have never before stayed somewhere where the guests are made to feel like an inconvenience. I can say that the room was clean, and the food we ordered from room service was nice.
Reasonable in most regards, a short stroll from the centre of town, however it was not at all clear on the booking site that you are charged 4 per night parking. How even the VERY NICE BURGER RESTRAINT in the basement more than made up for it, many fun and interesting flavours and choices
