Wonderful stay . Room was pristine and the staff were friendly and professional. Enjoyed the cocktails and taco's we devoured and the breakfast was brilliant. We highly recommend this Hotel
A lovely old hotel in the centre of Harrogate (just ask Google to navigate you to Harrogate and you'll end up outside the front door) allows an easy starting point to explore this wonderful town.The downsides are the parking (not enough for all guests and costs 12 a day) and the corridors are not yet refurbished with grubby settees in them (Jan19). If you book a cheap deal, don't expect a room with a view (as expected really). The rooms are recently refurbished and are to a high standard (but you can find some bad workmanship if you go looking for it). The rooms are lovely and warm with the heater on but I couldn't work out how to hold a set the temperature. The breakfast was on the top floor (5th) and had everything that you'd expect of a hotel like this. All the staff were friendly and helpful but then we never gave them much of a challenge to deal with.There are always difficulties in getting an old building to cope with modern expectations and one of these is disabled facilities (I didn't notice much).There is a multi-storey car park about five minutes walk away which is currently 6:30 for 24 hours (space is tight but then most are).Hope that helps someone in choosing a Harrogate hotel for their stay. :)
I really enjoyed my stay. My room was very nicely decorated, spacious, and clean and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was lovely, and the staff were immensely helpful. It's very central and close by to all the shops and a few minutes walk from the Turkish Spa. I would definitely stay here here again.
This Hotel exceeded my expectations. Upon arriving the reception staff were very welcoming and friendly.The room, wow, recently refurbished to a high standard, tastefully decorated and well equipped. The shower room was excellent, a home from home.The bar and restaurant was excellent and good value, the atmosphere was lively and enjoyable and again, the staff were excellent.The managers were very helpful regarding a situation outside of the hotel, they couldn't have done enough for me. The Hotel has a 100% seal of approval from me and I strongly recommend the hotel to anyone who is looking for a great stay in Harrogate.Believe me when I say I can be critical, but with The Yorkshire Hotel, I can't.A most enjoyable stay !!!!
