Bike shop great but the attached cafe slow. 25 minutes from ordering for first drink to come, then rest of order forgotten. Edit: See reply from owner below. Very impressed, and exactly what I've come to expect from Prologue (the bike shop is always fantastic, this is the first time in a while I've been in the cafe).
Went in to Prologue yesterday with a problem with my back wheel. Asked Aaron to have a look at it which he was happy to do so despite being very busy. He located the issue pretty quickly as it being a problem with the freehub and explained everything to me- which is useful when you're not extremely knowledgeable. He was more than happy to help and I would really recommend .I have visited prologue a number of time; staff are always helpful and the food and coffee is spot on great way to start and/or end the day!
I have to admit to having preconceived ideas that Prologue was only for serious cyclists and probably quite snooty. Im pleased to say Im totally wrong. The cafe is lovely, the staff welcoming, and twice theyve fixed minor mechanicals for me when Ive turned up. At the end of a day they salvaged my seat clamp with a sheared bolt (having been told elsewhere it was irreparable) which meant I didnt have to cancel my weekend ride whilst waiting for a brand specific new one.
High end local bike shop with a first class.cafe showing all the top cycling events. Coffee and cake are both outstanding and cyclists can refuel with healthy brekky or lunch.
Really nice cafe. Very caring staff who brought out jumpers and blankets for one of our group who was very cold after a snowy ride. Thank you
