Can never fault this place for opening up the summer to fun and attractions throughout the sunny season. Lots to do for all the family, friends and even your dog (if you have one). With a spacious paddling pool and adventure playground for those adventurous in us all, it is the place to be come sunny days between April and August.
Went to Harrogate for the afternoon. Had a nostalgic wander into Valley Gardens. Haven't been here for over 20 years, despite it being a cold winter day it was still as pleasant as I remembered. Lots of families out for a walk around the gardens. But now there is also a Skate park & a childrens play area. Lovely day.
Just a short walk from the Centre of Harrogate , these lovely gardens and facilities are well worth a visit. really beautiful, Grade II listed. There are some historic buildings in there alongside beautiful beds. Plenty on offer for the children and there are toilets as well. The gardens are planted with wildlife in mind and there is one garden in particular, The Nectar Garden, to invite bees and butterflies.
We've walked through Valley Gardens many times, over the years, on visits to Harrogate. The gardens are well-kept and managed effectively for the community and visitors, making them a considerable asset to this attractive Spa town. So, municipal gardens in feel but attractively landscaped, which lots of space and good facilities. We've walked up the hill from the town bottom, out through the woods and green spaces and on to Harlow Carr. The good people of Harrogate are very lucky with the Stray and Valley Gardens. Good walks to get out and away from the town centre, if you need the space & air. Love these gardens!!!
Absolutely gorgeous gardens. A must-see in Harrogate! Its with in a short walking distance from the town centre. Lovely scenery and walk throughout. Lots of plants and wildlife to see. A lovely place to bring kids there is also a small pond with lots of ducks. You can watch the ducks for ages they are beautiful. They go swimming under water which is so cool to watch. You can get very close which is a cool experience but there is a fence to create a border like thing. Very nice garden definitely recommend!
