Helped through a Hypo! .... I presented myself possibly a little confused as I was experiencing a diabetic low glucose event .. it turns out the co-owner? was previously a nurse ... so a hot chocolate and something else sweet, followed by a check up and the offer of more (on the house) cake and I was soon on my way ... its rare to see such selfless hospitality today, and I was lucky to stumble through this door. Thank you.
Thanks for the lecture on coffee and how I'm drinking it wrong, I guess? I was only trying to politely let you know that your soy milk tasted out of date. A 'sorry' and new drink (which you did provide in the end, thank you) would've been sufficient. I don't recommend going here at all, you'll get better service at a Pret...Edit: thanks for the reply. So now I'm getting lectured on how my experience is wrong too, although you do not seem to remember everything correctly. Definitely room for improvement in the curtomer service department I'd say.
Lovely coffee house. Traditional. Indipendent coffee house at it's best...nice cakes as well.
Well worth a visit. Small & homely. Friendly staff. Lots of coffee & hot chocolate choice. Yummy snacks. Ethically sourced. Had a family business feel to the place. Better value than Betty's Tea Rooms. No queue & only a few minutes walk from everything.
Lovely. Was told by a friend it was the best place for decent coffee. How right they were. Enjoyed some soup too. Friendly service. Nice atmosphere.
