Their properties are amazing and weve stayed with them several times over the years, but their no refund policy has to be considered unreasonable sometimes. Especially when youve stayed with them as often as we have and spent as much money with them as we have. Sometimes circumstances are beyond the bookers control, and whilst we understand that the cottage owners cant afford to cancel bookings, we are also bright enough to be aware that the company takes quite a bit of profit. Therefore, without touching the money that the property owners should have, it wouldnt be asking too much for the company to refund a small part of their commission when theyve been happy enough to take thousands from us over the years. But apparently they would rather lose a customer than refund a few pounds as a good will token.Response to your reply - I recall well changing the dates in 2015, thanks to the very kind property owners. But 2016 is the incident Im referring to. And Im not chastising the owners, Im chastising your company for keeping all the commission rather than help a family who just lost a couple of thousand pounds because personal disaster meant they couldnt catch the plane. I have stayed in your properties where the owners had issues crop up and we didnt mention it or claim compensation, because we realise there are things out of peoples control. But you cant see your way clear to offer a few pennies out of your profit so youd rather lose a long term customer and shoot yourself in the foot because you will lose thousands long term. Anyway, you will stick to your policy and I am still entitled to my comment. Once upon a time generosity was the norm - now its a stranger.

We have always booked through Harrogate Holidays as we have found their properties are superior to others offered. We visit on business twice a year and have never been disappointed. Last time we found our forever destination - the garden apartment on Spring Grove - book it, it's superb! Simon K
Have used this site for two years now for various bookings in Harrogate and surrounding areas including the delightful self contained cottage "The Washburn".
