Great little 'Open all hours' corner shop.
Used to love going here, but over the past few years it seems to have changed completely the "no phones allowed" rule is the main one, and also a rule that was only implemented a few years back(very 21st century I know) and the owner provides no less than horrendous customer service however, his wife is quite the opposite, smile on her face every time, always happy to have a laugh. Overall disappointed.
The shop is dated and not well stocked. When I asked the vendor if he took cards he said no and then proceeded to give me directions somewhere.I told him I was disabled and couldn't walk but had cash he berated me for interrupting and said I should give him the courtesy of allowing him to answer my question. He then preceded to give me directions to a cash machine a 10 minute walk away. I thanked him and said again I was disabled and couldn't walk a 10 minute walk. Very rude, and more interested in the sound of his own voice than providing the required service.
I used to go there for sweets and ice cream. When I used to live juile and Eddie Dodds house. In 25 mayfield grove in 2000.
Love it, quick service lovely people.
