I love Hope Church Harrogate. I tried out numerous churches when I moved back to Harrogate but none captured my heart like Hope. Previous Churches I tried no one spoke to me or made me feel welcome. Hope was different. The first time I came, with my two friends, so many people spoke to us that we were the last few people to leave the meeting space. From the onset people have been loving, accepting, gracious.But most importantly, and what sold me on this specific church, is that everyone who is in the church actively wants to pursue getting to know the Father more deeply and intently. A church lead by the Holy Spirit, knows that they are loved and accepted by the Father and glorify Jesus. I was so close to giving up on my relationship with the Father when I stumbled across Hope, since fully committing I have grown so much and come so far.
Best decision I ever made was to walk through the doors of Hope church. Such a warm and friendly welcome every week with refreshments served and a chance to chat with others. AMAZING worship - very lively. The talks are thought provoking and relevant to our everyday life. Most importantly, Jesus is present
This is a vibrant church with a warm and very friendly welcome over coffee on arrival, lively worship from a range of talented musicians and the Bible teaching is thought provoking and at times really challenging. Their Junior Church appears to be thoroughly enjoyed by the children, evident upon their return at the end of the service. Talking to members there appears to be a strong mid-week programme and also several community projects reaching out across Harrogate. Would recommend it to everyone, go a few times to get the flavour of various worship groups and the team of speakers.
Forget dark, oppressive churches: theres nothing staid or stuffy here. Current, relevant and challenging teaching, relaxed and celebratory worship. Friendly and inclusive atmosphere, great music and plenty of laughter. A real chance to learn more about Jesus and how faith can give you freedom in todays world.
Such a fantastic church family... So welcoming and friendly and the kids work is AMAZING!! Worship is awesome and there is a real desire to meet with Our Father every week. So glad we found this place. Would recommend to anyone, especially if you have kids!
