Spent 4 days at this campsite run by Richard and Louise. Made my friend and I really welcome. Fantastic country side. It's ideally situated near to some great walks and also some fantastic places to visit that are only a short drive away. We will definitely return next season for a longer stay. Thank you for your hospitality.
Nice family run campsite. Lots of midges in evening. Fire pits can be rented for the evening. Use top field rather than bottom. Bottom doesnt have as nice views and may suffer more midges due to being closer to the woods. Small shop selling essentials at very reasonable prices.
Great camp site. Simple with all you need. Very close to the lake too! One of the best I've taken my young son in.
Took our 2 year old on his first ever camping trip here & he loved it, as did we! Nice campsite attached to a little farm surrounded by beautiful tall trees! Reasonably priced with good washing facilities. We would certainly visit again!
A fantastic site all round. The friendly couple running this site are happy to help in any way they can. The facilities are very good and can be used by everyone regardless of whether you are camping or caravanning. The walk around the reservoir is beautiful and varied talking in woods, river and moorland. It is so peaceful both on site and on the various walks around the reservoir making it a really relaxing place. The bird life is fantastic, there are meadow pipits, yellow wagtail and pied wagtail around the site constantly and Tawny and Barn owls can be seen most evenings. Highly recommend this site and I hope to go back there again next year.
